Aims
This module aims to motivate students to be aware of the skills required in industry. The team spirit and effective communication skills are cultivated from the group project arranged in this module.
Learning outcomes 
The learning outcomes can be stated as follows:


A. To give the opportunity for students in furnishing their creativity / skills / knowledge / project management.

B. To enhance student ability in technical writing.

C. To enhance the skills in preparing an engaging presentation slide.

D. To cultivate good presentation skill practices.

E. To learn the experiences from industrial experts; being aware of the industrial practices, knowledge and skills required in engineering.

Method of teaching and learning 
This module will be delivered via lectures and seminars
Syllabus 
The content of this module is divided into several components:


1. Seminars

A series of seminars from the industrial expert is arranged throughout the course of this module.


2. Group Project

A group project requirement will be delivered at the early stage of relevant semester so that students will have an adequate time in completing their project. A proposal will then be submitted by each group for the approval from the instructor. Group proposal can be either hardware, software and more preferably a project that includes both.


3. Report Writing

A report will be submitted by each group. This report will be filtered by Turnitin to avoid any potential plagiarism cases. Details on technical report writing, plagiarism, referencing will be covered briefly.


4. Presentation

Each group will have to present the outcome of the project. The instructor will give some feedbacks on presentation slides before this activity. Some guidelines relevant to good presentation skills will be conveyed to students before this activity.
